Artist's Co-Op

Q: Are you an artist or artisan whose work is inspired by nature? Do you have a limited number of pieces and don't think you have enough to have your own stall at the show? Can't afford the time to spend all day at the show, or the expense of setting up a stall?

A: We have a solution. Register with the flower show to secure a place for your artwork on our new stall 'Artist's Co-Op'.

~

Q: What does it cost?

A: No set fee. Pay a minimum donation of 5% from your sale price if you sell an item.

Q: How does it work?

1. Pick items that fit with the theme of the show, i.e. featuring florals, natural materials, or are gardening inspired etc.

2. Register by *June 28th via email: electriccityflowershow@gmail.com giving your name, your business name, a **full descriptions of the items, and how many you plan to sell. Photos are appreciated.

3. Set the price and clearly and securely tag your item/s showing your/your business name.

4. Bring the item/s to the Artist's Co-Op stall between the hours of 7:30am and 10:00am on the morning of the show. The stall is number 18, next to Greystone Gardens, very close to the Marmi pavilion. Note that no vehicles will be allowed in the show area between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Items can be delivered between these hours but they will need to be carried from the parking lot.

5. Marie Geiser (who is a talented local artist herself) will display and sell your artwork for you, but if possible, we ask that you donate an hour or two of your time to help run the stall with Marie; giving you the opportunity to promote and sell your work.

6. Pick up your money (sale price less minimum 5%) or collect your unsold items by 4:30pm.

Q: What happens if I don't get there by 4:30pm?

A: Your cash will be held and can be claimed by application through Venmo (@ECFS-Scranton) only. Special arrangements to get the payment to you will not be made. Money not claimed after 7 days will be considered a donation to the Electric City Flower Show. Unsold items not claimed by 4:30pm, Saturday June 29th, 2024 will be disposed of at Marie Geiser's discretion, e.g. offered at a reduced price to judges, volunteers, general public, or given freely. If sold for a reduced price all proceeds from that sale will go to the charity.

Q: Who gets the 5%?

A: A local women's rescue charity of Marie's choice.

Q: How many items can I put up for sale?

A: Stick to the number you stated you'd bring but we're flexible. Just remember this is not just YOUR stall and space will be shared fairly. As many of your items that can be accommodated will be displayed and any remaining items will be stored until room becomes available.

Q: How will items be displayed?

A: There will be tables and vertical metal/mesh racking. You should bring whatever is needed to hang paintings etc.

Q: What if something happens to my items?

A: All reasonable care will be given to all items to prevent theft and/or damage, however, items are left at the artist's risk. Every effort will be made but the organizers and volunteers assume no responsibility for the loss of personal property of the exhibitors at any time.

* Application can be made up to the day before the show but the organizer reserves the right to refuse applications if the stall is already oversubscribed.

** The organizer reserves the right to refuse items not deemed suitable or in keeping with the theme of the show, and reduce the number of items if the stall becomes oversubscribed.
